This is our first virtual Choir, created October-December 2020 on Dharug, Eora and Kuring-gai land. After performing Ola Gjeilo's 'The Ground' in our final Concert in 2019, we were preparing it again for our 'Indomitable Spirit' Concert in May 2020. Then, Covid-19 arrived. Like many Choirs, we kept going online, or outdoors when permitted. This film is a record of our year, made to remind ourselves that joy and connection are still available to us, despite distance and change. Recorded May of 2010 in the CWU music building Concert hall. "Carpenters of God" was written specifically for the Chamber Choir's appearance at the 2010 NWACDA Conference. The composer talks about the inspiration for the piece (Weston Noble's visit to CWU in 2009) for the first 65 seconds. The piece is sung beginning at 1:05 in the video. The Choir has also recorded YouTube videos that feature music of Claudio Monteverdi, Ola Gjeilo, John Muehleisen, Einojuhani Rautavaara, and Tomás Luis da Victoria.
