Highlights of recent seasons include highlights from the 80′s rock Musical ‘Chess,’ ’Messiah’, by G.F. Handel, Gloria, by Vivaldi, the Durufle Requiem, the Pope Marcellus Mass by Palestrina, Magnificat by J.S. Bach and Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna. During the summer, Cantate presents the Pacific Summer Music Festival which hosts guest Musicians such as the nation’s most beloved choral conductor, Dr. Weston Noble, concert pianists, Itay Goren and Frank Pavese and the Grammy-nominated string ensemble, Quartet San Francisco. The chorale also performs during special occasions with the Guam Territorial Band led by alumnus, Maximo Ronquillo Jr. less

We believe that Music can positively impact and enrich lives. Our performances reflect this belief in their use of... moreSchola Cantorum on Hudson was founded as a choral ensemble in 1995, and performs its full concert season in both Manhattan and New Jersey. We believe that Music can positively impact and enrich lives. Our performances reflect this belief in their use of such seasonal themes as ‘freedom’ and ‘healing’ and ‘our mother earth;’ and in presentation of mostly new Music in a way that is accessible. Our educational programs reflect this belief by training emerging professionals, planting seeds within young people for a lifetime of Music involvement, and growing the skills of our own members. Our commitment to new choral Music reflects this belief even beyond our substantial performance commitment through Project Encore™ and our Featured Composer Program. Substantially more than a singing group, SCH is unique in many respects that reflects both a breadth and a depth that bespeaks the full meaning of a ‘schola’ (‘school’).

Factum Arte Choir was formed in 2009, mostly by students trained in the Kodaly method of Music instruction taught by her Musical director and professor Katalin Hajnoczy, degree in Music education, direction and piano by the Music Academy Ferenz Liszt (Hun... moreFactum Arte Choir was formed in 2009, mostly by students trained in the Kodaly method of Music instruction taught by her Musical director and professor Katalin Hajnoczy, degree in Music education, direction and piano by the Music Academy Ferenz Liszt (Hungary), and with a long career devoted to education in various places and educational institutions of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.
Very high unpretentious Music, the Choir was created to provide coverage to the need to sing and further training of a group of friends singing around the figure of his teacher. The time spent on the trials is very low in comparison to a standard chorus but over the years has drawn new members, has taken on challenges in terms of repertoire, has been federated, offers concerts by the municipalities of Biscay, and share their work in exchanges with other Choirs in and out of Euskadi.
Since the beginning of his career have enjoyed the cooperation of Garbiñe Abendaño as a teacher of vocal technique. less

The establishment of the chorus is to build a platform for the youth to promote choral Music and realize their dreams, as well as to organize different cultural exchange activities to promote Music and serve the society.
In the summer of 2011, HKVC held their debut concert “Sing Out a Dream” in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall to raise funds to support the charitable work of the Lions Club of Central. In 2012, the chorus organized and performed five shows of a grand scale original youth choral Musical “Like. So?”. The Musical received positive comments and the chorus was even invited by renowned pianist Ms. Nancy Loo to an interview and performance in her RTHK 4 Radio Program “Cantilena”. In 2013, the chorus started planning to register themselves as a non-profit charitable organization and held a fundraising concert called “One Heart, One Voice”.
