NDV, whose concerts range in style and period from the medieval to the contemporary, takes special pleasure in exploring the Music of living composers and has given many Irish premières –including James Macmillan’s Cantos Sagrados and Penderecki’s Stabat Mater – as well as eight world premières of works by Irish composers including Linda Buckley, Enda Bates, Jonathan Nangle, Garrett Sholdice, and Ian Wilson. As well as giving concerts, NDV is a regular participant in competitions, both internationally and at home in Ireland. The Choir’s extensive repertoire covers all periods of vocal Music and the 20th. century, among them choral works composed by R.R. Klein, A. Koerppen, F. Farcas and many others more. Some of the works have been specially composed for HARMONIE Lindenholzhausen. At the same time the Choir dedicates itself to oratorioes usually performed together with the female Choir “Dzintars” Riga / Latvia. Numerous concert tours and participations in international festivals took the HARMONIE to Austria, the Czech Republic, Egypt, England, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Macedonia, Russia, USA and Wales.
