The school Choir itself has, over the years, gone from strength to strength despite the need ...  moreThe idea for our Vocal Group goes back to the musical notions and ideas that we learned over the years as part of the Choir of the Liceo “A. Mariotti”, Perugia. The school Choir itself has, over the years, gone from strength to strength despite the need for constant renewal caused by the inevitable “turnover” as new students took the places of those who left. However, after this experience, which has included many concerts in the region, participations in Choir Festivals in Italy and artistic exchanges with youth Choirs from Germany, Hungary, Spain, Denmark and the Czech Republic, our desire to continue singing and, of course, the joy which singing together gave us all made it obvious that the time had clearly come to establish a group which could allow us to continue our musical journey together. Tracing its beginnings to the year 1921, the ACGC was formed to answer the need for liturgical music in San Ignacio Church, in Manila. The Choir has then pioneered many firsts as a Filipino chorale group and student organization. Locally, they have triumphed in numerous competitions, including the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA). The ACGC has then on proudly carried the name of the Philippines during their International Tours in Europe, Asia, and North America. Since 2002, Professor Maria Lourdes V. Hermo leads the ACGC as the group’s first female conductor. Under her baton, the group has released two commercial recordings. In 2006, the group participated in numerous European competitions, where they swept all prizes in Miltenberg, Germany and garnered high awards in Arezzo, Italy. The Revelations also has the distinction of making it to the Top 50 Male Choirs in the World as listed by the Musica Mundi World Ranking List, presented by the Interkultur Foundation, who are the organizers of the world’s largest choral competitions. Pre...  moreEnsemble quartonal: Beati Mortui (Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy) Das "Ensemble quartonal" wurde im Jahr 2006 von vier ehemaligen Mitgliedern der Chorknaben Uetersen gegründet. Im Mai 2010 konnte das junge Quartett beim Deutschen Chorwettbewerb den 1. Preis in der erstmals ausgeschriebenen Kategorie der klassischen Ensembles gewinnen und wurde damit über die Landesgrenzen hinaus bekannt. Diese Aufnahme stammt von einem Konzert im Lübecker Dom.
