We believe that artistically excellent performances of beautiful music – presented with enthusiasm, energy, and insight – provide artistic experiences that have broad appeal and enrich the lives of performers and listeners alike.

The CD is expertly conducted by the choir's musical director, James Sherlock and guest instrumentalists are 17-year old Edward Picton-Turbevill on the organ and award-winning young cellist James Barralet playing the solo part in Sir John Tavener's 'Svyati' for cello and choir. The Huntington University Concert Choir features 16 to 36 members – all who go through an audition process for selection in this on-campus mixed choir group.

It has been conducted by Stephan Nicolay since 2004. The choir aims to share qualit...  moreLa Sestina is a French choir of about 20 amateur Singers based in Nice on the French Riviera. It was first created by a few friends in 1991, then enlarged over the years. It has been conducted by Stephan Nicolay since 2004. The choir aims to share quality music and new experiences with the audience. That is why La Sestina often performs with crossover arts on a main theme e.g. French Renaissance chansons in 16th century clothes with an actress, a cappella sacred contemporary music with dancers and video projection, Baroque French music with Chamber orchestra and a lecturer, medieval Spanish music with mediterranean ensemble of lutes and percussions, etc. Also, the choir aims at supporting humanitarian and social actions by offering one or several concerts each year. Many international NGO have benefited from these charity concerts such as Unicef, Unesco, Amnesty International, Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières and so on, but also very local associations.
