The driving force for the formation of this group is Faith Ragland, a trained passionate classical violinist and cellist, who has a rich experience of playing for and conducting choirs. He is an advanced level violinist and a musician with the India Youth Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Vijay Upadhyaya. He has the rich experience of conducting choirs and has undergone a conducting workshop in Italy and had master classes under the world class conductor and the co-founder of Kings Singers, Simon Carrington. He has been invited to the Stamps Baxter School of Music, USA on a scholarship. By excellence of performance and diversity of musical repertoire, CCC aims to build an appreciative audience for western classical and contemporary music in the city of Coimbatore. We began with the singular purpose of ministry and spreading the gospel. ​Since incorporation, NGGC now operates under two mandate objectives: to develop the professional and musical skills of young adults 20-30 years of age; and to bring gospel music as a respected genre of music, along with its more evolved counterparts (Jazz and Classical music), in Canada. Gospel Music has served vitally in the development of all members who have joined NGGC. Our unique incorporation, interpretation, and delivery of this embodied form of art, has garnered multiple forms of support — like spectators; organizations; donors; and sponsors alike — granting us the ability to develop both the musical and professional skills of our members in tandem.  less
