The group would like to promote Their vast repertoire ...  moreFounded in 2001 by Cyrille Rault-Gregorio, The Choir of The “Chambre Arthémys” is comprised of 18 singers chosen especially for Their vocal and musical talents. These singers also perform as soloists. The group would like to promote Their vast repertoire of singing ‘a cappella’ (without instruments) pieces from 16th to 21st century and Their different styles. As well as being accompanied by orchestral ensembles, The Choir often work with notable composers (Lucian Tuguy, Thibault Maillé, Jean-Christophe Marti…) who help to create The musical pieces. Ranging from traditional Concerts to original and artistic experiences, The Choir is always seeking to give value to all of The creative initiatives. In 2006, The Choir collaborated with dancers from The Paris Opera House for The ballet of Stéphane Elizabé, “De l'Autre côté à l'amphithéâtre Bastille” (From The oTher side of The Bastille AmphiTheatre). The group is one of Madagascar’s top Choirs and aims for musical excellence and artistic innovation. Various performances have been given since its debut in major places around The country. ICanto’s repertoire is eighty percent a capella and The Choir interpretes all genres of Classical Music, from ancient to modern as well as rearranged traditional Malagasy music. It's of course a wink to my favorite musical movie - I must have watched it at least a dozen times. It keeps inspiring my love for singing. We mostly sing musical songs, but not exclusively. We are dedicated to making this a great amateur Choir. But, as Mary Poppins sang: 'In every job that must be done / There is an element of fun / You find The fun / and SNAP The job's a game'

Members come from Balfron, Killearn, Drymen, Kippen, Aberfoyle and furTher afield. We rehearse in Balfron Church on Monday nights at 7.30. We are under The musical direction of Mark Evans, and perform publicly at both Christmas and Spring.
