It is open to all no matter what musical background, if any you may have. We "sing for the the sheer JOY of it" and do local concerts. Recently we have sung at a large church inter-denominational Christmas gathering and the highlight of the year to sing at a wedding at the request of the Bride and Groom.

The carollers, an a cappella group, formed in 1977 by director Pierre Massie, is ranked amongst the best of Ottawa choirs by choral critics. We are a non-profit organization, and raise funds for local charities through concert, CD and cookbook sales. This version of "Iesous Ahatonnia" will be included in our next Xmas CD. Diliup had orchestrated the music ...  moreThe Royal College school song written by late Principal H L Reed has been re-recorded by Kalasuri Diliup Gabadamudalige - an old Royalist, keeping in line with the original piano music score written by H L Reed himself. Diliup had orchestrated the music in terms of a classical orchestra and recorded it with the vocals of old Royalist Santhush Weeraman of B&S fame and the Royal College choir. The re-recording of the school song was an initiative taken by the Secretary RCU Manju Ariyaratne on the advice of the RCU Council together with the consent of Prinicipal Upali Gunasekra.  less
