Comprised of more than 20 experienced singers. All have a wealth of vocal experience. Many have sung in barbershop choruses and quartets. Others have strong choral backgrounds.

We have performed on BBC Radio London, at Wembley Stadium, and recorded an advert at studios where Harry Potter and Shrek were made. We meet on Wednesdays, 4.30-5.30pm in NW3, and there are no auditions. We sing a wide variety of music, including classical, Disney, musical theatre, rock, pop and music from around the world. After a £20 three-week trial (not an audition, just to see if your child enjoys the Choir), the fee is £10 for each remaining week of term (siblings 25% off, discount available if you have concerns about paying). Bishop Road Community Choir is open to all in the local community. We are a mixed, non-audition Choir. All songs are taught by ear and we don’t expect anyone to learn the words off by heart. However, music can be made available for those who want it. W...  moreBishop Road Community Choir is open to all in the local community. We are a mixed, non-audition Choir. All songs are taught by ear and we don’t expect anyone to learn the words off by heart. However, music can be made available for those who want it. We sing a range of different songs, including pop, gospel, world music and classical. We mainly sing songs with piano accompaniment, provided by our famous pianist, Geoff. We hold our own annual concert, and we are often invited to sing at other local events such as the local MayFest. Our members come along for “enjoyment, friendship and satisfaction as well as singing with a group of like-minded people”. Singing is reputed to release endorphins in the brain, and we’ve certainly noticed amongst us a sense of well-being following rehearsals and in particular, concerts. We are a very sociable bunch and often meet for a drink at the Chimp House on Gloucester Road following our rehearsal on Thursday evenings.
