Our repertoire has about 80 a capella works (from medieval to contemporary composers), large sacred forms by Haendel, Mozart and Mendellsohn Bartholdy and 40 carols. We have performed at several festivals and international events (Germany, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria). The second performance of the newly commissioned "City Songs" by Latvian composer Eriks Esenvalds, Australian poet Emma Jones and narrator Imogen Heap. The work was commissioned by the Voices Now Festival and first performed in the Roundhouse, London, June 2013. The second performance took place on Friday 25th October 2013 in St. Columb's Hall, Derry as part of the inaugural Choral festival. This second performance featured the Holst Singers and Roundhouse Choir from London, Codetta, Encore Contemporary Choir, Colmcille Ladies and the Music Promise Junior Choir from Derry and the Orchestra of Ireland, conducted by Stephen Layton.  less

Bandits ambush others on the road. They get wealth, but they stay in one place. Lovers keep moving, never the same, not for a second! What makes others grieve, they enjoy! When they look angry, don't believe their faces. It's spring lightning, a joke before the rain. They chew thorns thoughtfully along with pasture grass. Gazelle and lioness, having dinner. Love is invisible except here, in us. Sometimes I praise love; sometimes love praises me. Love, a little shell somewhere on the ocean floor, opens its mouth.
