Flos Campi (meaning "flower of the field" in Latin—from the Song of Songs) is an early music ensemble comprised of students from the University of Southern California. We specialize in repertoire from 1750 and before.

We rehearse weekly and sing a variety of pop, rock, Folk, reggae and gospel. SoundRoutes Singers have performed to sellout audiences at venues across the local region and in 2012 recorded our debut EP Changing Key. The groundbreaking project was in conjunction with Addiewell Prison Choir, also run by Shona Brown, Britain's first prison choir and over £3000 was raised for Shelter Scotland.  less

As the finale to the Vocal Art Ensemble's "INKSPELL--Choral Music Inspired by Masters of Poetry" concerts, we performed Jaako Maantijaarvi's first three Shakespeare Songs, culminating on our playful, crafty interpretation to this famous text from MacBeth....  moreAs the finale to the Vocal Art Ensemble's "INKSPELL--Choral Music Inspired by Masters of Poetry" concerts, we performed Jaako Maantijaarvi's first three Shakespeare Songs, culminating on our playful, crafty interpretation to this famous text from MacBeth. The women shed their shawls and toss them into the center to represent the ingredients being dropped into the bubbling 'cauldron'.
