We are an auditioned chamber choir of 30-40 members who love sharing the joy of Choral singing with each other and our community. Our regular season consists of at least 4 concerts featuring a variety of musical genres and styles. Because we seek to create meaningful musical experiences, we value interaction and education in our performances. Our audience members often tell us how much they love learning about the music from our director’s comments, which help them more fully enter into the music and enjoy it.  less

We are based in Chicago's western suburbs. ECU performs two major concerts each season with full professional orchestra musicians and pro soloists, and also a mini-concert of our singers in soLos and duets with piano. We often appear as featured guest artists with Elmhurst Symphony and in local appearances. Our outstanding volunteer singers come from throughout the Chicago area for a unique musical experience. Our conductor James MacDonald has directed choirs and orchestras throughout the U.S. and overseas, and teaches conducting and music theory. Working with him has made us better singers and more knowledgeable musicians. Please visit our website for information and exact dates of our September and January auditions. If you are on Facebook, join us there for a musical conversation.  less

A joyous exclamation which is set at a wedding, where the groom is being asked: "Where are you hiding the bride". Traditional Sesotho South African traditional music is known for their movement and dancing in their songs, and the UP Youth Choir accentuates this by highlighting the movement in their performance.

Performed by the Case Concert Choir at Case Western Reserve University, conducted by Dr. Christopher Clark. Premiered on April 20, 2026, at Florence Harkness Memorial Chapel in Cleveland, Ohio. Odes of Love is a piece about what matters most: life itself. Santiago Veros is now creating a national initiative for this work. One choir in each U.S. state will receive the Exclusive State Premiere Rights for Odes of Love. the idea is simple: one choir, one state, one local premiere. This initiative brings together strong choirs from across the country and gives each director a meaningful way to share this music with their own community.  less
