The choir performs three or more significant concerts in Edinburgh each year, and has become known further afield through broadcasts and concerts in Scotland, touring abroad, and singing in support of local and national charities.

We are committed Singers, who can prepare music independently before a short intensive rehearsal series, and have opportunities...  moreIrish Doctors Choir members are enthusiastic and experienced Singers, mostly, but not exclusively, doctors or medical students. We are committed Singers, who can prepare music independently before a short intensive rehearsal series, and have opportunities to perform some of the great works from the classical choral repertoire to a high standard and in exciting venues. We also enjoy singing simple music well at smaller performances on our rehearsal weekends and at conference events. Although our performances are mostly in Ireland, we have quite a few Singers from other countries, including UK, France, Germany and Sweden. During 2020, we have held online rehearsals using Zoom and produced two online concerts, raising 11,000 Euro for charity.  less

Artistic Director: Wallis Peterson, Percussion: Bradley Peterson. This indigenous community, often referred to as The Colorados, is located in the northern coastal region of ECUador. In the face of modernization, music serves as a tool for this group to preserve their history, traditions, and culture. Tsáchilas music-making includes dance, philosophy, spirituality, cultural traditions, and community involvement with a strong connection to nature and respect for the land. By singing this piece, our ensemble is actively helping to protect and promote the Tsáchila community.
