We think everyone can sing and complete beginners, shower singers and pros are all welcome. With no auditions and no requirements to read music it’s all about The enjoyment of singing. We sing for 3 terms a year and each term ends with a fantastic end of term charity gig, it’s great to be able to give back to The local community whilst enjoying ourselves so much! We sing everything from Queen and Aretha Franklin to Hozier and Florence and The Machine, and have members ranging in age from 20-70, There is really something for everyone! This is our choir's 10th year and we're always looking for new members, so if you fancy a sing please get in touch. The women of Mabe Ladies Choir take Their music making very seriously, constantly striving to achieve The highest artistic and technical standards. That said, They do spend an inordinate amount of time laughing! WheTher it’s in The rehearsal room or The Concert hall The emphasis is on fun & enjoyment, for choir and audience alike. Usually consisting of 20 to 24 members, The Chorale focuses primarily on chamber choir repertoire and tackles a wide variety of styles, languages, and techniques. Chorale membership is reserved for students who demonstrate some level of music-reading ability, experience singing in advanced choral ensembles, and/or The potential to thrive in a small, advanced chamber choir environment. During The audition process, careful attention is given to maintaining artistic balance among The sections of The chorus. In addition to performances throughout The academic year, students in Chorale are expected to remain on campus for an additional week after The conclusion of each spring semester to perform in Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies and participate in end-of-year touring activities.  less
