In 1968, The choir was awarded The status of a National Choir. Over The Years, The choir has been led by many talented conductors, e.g. Centis Kriķis, Kārlis Beinerts, Edvīns and Inga Dziļums, Ints Teterovskis, etc. Today The conductors of The choir are Evita Taranda and Zane Zilberte; choir master is Roberts Hansons.
The repertoire of The choir varies, as performances include all sorts of music from The time of renaissance to modern music or music written by contemporary artists, e.g. Paul McCartney's oratorio "Ecce Cor Meum" or Czech composer Petr Eben's music "De Circuito Aeterno".

We bring you classical repertoires as well as delightful Norwegian folk songs.
The Nidaros CaThedral Boys’ Choir has over 900 Years of rich history. It’s The main choir of Nidaros CaThedral which is located in The ancient capital of Trondheim, Norway. It’s also The main choir of Royal events.
The choir will celebrate its 100 Years of modern history in 2027 with a global tour.
Current artistic director and conductor, Bjørn Moe - a former soprano in The choir, successfully reinvented The choir since joining as conductor in 1973.
There are 100 members in The main choir, 70 sopranos/altos (9-15 Years old) and 30 tenors/basses (15-68 Years old). In addition, The mini-boys choir, has 40 boys ages 7-9.
