Formed in 2017, the members come from the island of Ireland and beyond, encompassing a huge Range of musical experiences. the musical connection of the group to Ireland is deep and spans all the traditions present here. the songs and texts date back as far as the Viking raids on Ireland in the 9th century, through to music created by the men themselves under the direction of their Artistic Director Michael McGlynn. This year the group release their debut album, "M'ANAM" in the Autumn, and are featured artists on the opening track "Clarity" of the latest album by acclaimed Japanese jazz-rock ensemble Mouse on the Keys whose 3rd album "tres" was released this May to universal acclaim. their first digital single "Bandó Ribineann" is released this June.  onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

Sospiri was founded by the composer John Duggan and the singer Christopher Watson. We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gone on to sing professionally in London. We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gone on to sing professionally in London. We sing a wide Range of classical repertoire, from Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works, many written by John Duggan. We have recorded two discs for the Gift of Music and give concerts in Oxford and London, as well as making regular trips to France and Italy.

NDV, whose concerts Range in style and period from the medieval to the contemporary, takes special pleasure in exploring the music of living composers and has given many Irish premières –including James Macmillan’s Cantos Sagrados and Penderecki’s Stabat Mater – as well as eight world premières of works by Irish composers including Linda Buckley, Enda Bates, Jonathan Nangle, Garrett Sholdice, and Ian Wilson. As well as giving concerts, NDV is a regular participant in competitions, both internationally and at Home in Ireland.
