It’s been at least 15-20 years now that we have participated in numerous festivals and concerts all over Greece but also all over Europe. In 2005, as adults, we decided to establish this particular group with the assistance of the Children’s Choir. We have given concerts in Hungary, in several cities in Greece and especially in Chalkidiki. In 2011 new members have been included in the group and we have changed our name into “THAMYRIADES”. Our repertory extends from classical to rock, pop and musical. You will have the opportunity to listen to us in selected halls. In Greek mythology, Thamyris (Greek: Θάμυρις), son of Philammon and the nymph Argiope, was a Thracian singer who was so proud of his skill that he boasted he could outsing the Muses. This mixed-voice choral ensemble varies in size d...  moreOrganized under the direction of Dr. Brady Allred in 2010, the Salt Lake Vocal Artists has become the first professional-level touring and recording Choir within the Salt Lake Choral Artists organization. This mixed-voice choral ensemble varies in size depending on the project from 16 to 40 auditioned singers and performs a diverse repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st Century. In its premiere season, the SL Vocal Artists were honored with an invitation to participate in the 42nd Tolosa Choral Contest in October 2010. After a successful concert tour of the Basque region of Spain, the SLVA competed against renowned Choirs from all over the world and were awarded First Prize in all four categories they entered, as well as the special Audience Prize. To conclude only its second season, the SL Vocal Artists were one of only 25 Choirs and the only American Choir to perform at the World Choral Symposium in Argentina following a two week concert tour of the country in July and August. The focus of our music is located in the Baltic region. Of course! Our cherished and beloved conductor Arūnas Pečiulis is from Lithuania. In 2016 we released our first own CD "Christmas in Orange" with traditional and extraordinary Christmas songs from all over the world. We are also represented with a total of three pieces on the CDs „Salzburg singt 2 - Advent" and „Salzburg singt 3 - Adventkalender" of the Salzburg Choir Association. In 2017 we made our first big trip abroad to Lithuania and Latvia, in 2018 we were one of only two „non-Lithuanian“ Choirs to take part in the Lithuanian song festival „Dainų šventė“ in Vilnius.
