We welcome experienced SATB singers who are keen to perform music of all genres to a high standard in an informal environment. Our ethos: CONTEXT Historical, social and environmental contexts of music, and the influence of these on performance, will be central to rehearsals and concerts. They will define the themes of our repertoire each year. COLLABORATION Based in Leeds, the Choir has numerous opportunities to collaborate with other ensembles, composers and charities to promote and support musicians throughout the North. The heart of Dozan wa Awtar Music Establishment is singing and community building. Major activities revolve around three groups: Dozan wa Awtar Singers, Dozan and Atfal Dozan. Dozan wa Awtar Singers is an innovative large community Choir ranging from 40-60 singers that performs three main concerts a year. Their repertoire includes a wide variety of genres including classical, musical theater, Arabic and world music . Sentimientos a flor de piel. Una voz de muchas almas. Un alma en la voz. Cada días luchamos por conseguirlo. Y así, creando armonías, una treintena de voces femeninas nos unimos para poder hacer realidad aquello que más queremos, música. Con orígenes musicales distintos, como son el Coro de la Politécnica y el Coro de Jóvenes de la Comunidad de Madrid, buscamos cobijo bajo la rigurosa y expresiva mano de nuestro maestro, José de Felipe, que siempre nos ha guiado ya fuese desde nuestro nacimiento o desarrollo musical.
