Two years after its founding, it was awarded 1st Prize at the 29th National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The group performed in various events such as Miss Earth Pageant in 2003 and 2004. The group was also one of the featured artists in the Samu’t-Saring Tinig V at the Cultural Center of the Philippines; in a concert at the Clamshell in Intramuros in February 2003; and in the International Youth Music Festival sponsored by NAMCYA held at the CCP in December 2003. In 2004, the choir released its debut CD featuring Ilocano favourites and winning competition pieces. In 2005, the choir was handed over to its new conductor, Sherberk Cabrales. Both males and female are welcome to join our Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass groups. Performances are organised in conjunction with local council support throughout the year

The subtle and everyday expressions of the indigenous people, together with those of the Africans, convey their deep desire for freedom. The Bozal Spanish language, as also the themes, texts and rhythm of the works, show the strong syncretism between the Spanish culture and that of the indigenous and African natives.
