It is the choir's mission since its existence to captivate audiences with versatile and enjoyable singing which is passionately presented by each member. The choir consists of 58 learners, under direction of Stefan Buys and accompanied by Brigitte Botha.

We strive to encourage a High level of self-worth, positive self-esteem, and accomplishment. Our goal is to use music as the avenue to encourage students to become lifelong patrons of the arts. Some have been here since the beginning, some joined this year and others fit somewhere in the Middle. We have an exacting standard of singing - we are just not sure what that exactly is! One of the most important facets of Mood Swing is that we have fun with what we do and it comes across not only in our singing, but also in our performances. We may not have perfected laughing and singing at the same time, but we give it a fair go! Since 2001, Mood Swing have been wowing audiences with our full sounds and suave choreography. With a range of music from '20s swing, African songs, traditional gospel, contemporary hits and fun ditties arranged in three and four parts, Mood Swing have something for all ages. Fabulously led by Lisa Schwabe, Mood Swing have been singing around Melbourne at concerts, churches and private functions to the delight of all who see and hear us. We started in small number of members until it grew bigger and bigger. During those times we were known to be a very good chorale group in our Diocese. It was the time where or group shined the most. Like other groups, our group also had its flop. Some of us are already busy studying in college after we graduated High school. That's why we need to find new members. We suffered from having lack of commitment of other members, and it gave us a difficult time to find new members. But our Maestro never gave up. He continued to build the group. We have a lot of plans to build again and let this group shine again with its brightest light. We are still sharing our music because welove this group and the passion to serve Christ through music is burning within our hearts.  less

This objective is achieved by exposing students to music of different nationalities and/or cultures and their commitment to recreate a unique tone quality that identifies with the cultural environment of each composition.

We live in the Isle of Man, a small island with a population of about 80,000 situated in the Irish Sea, between England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland. It is a Crown Dependency which means it is a self governing possession of the British Crown. We are very proud of our parliament, Tynwald which claims to be the world's oldest parliament in continuous existence, dating back to 979. We also issue our own bank notes, coins and stamps and enjoy a unique perspective in terms of our language, (Manx Gaelic), history, music and art. It is a beautiful island with very varied scenery. The choir is SSA, (soprano, mezzo-soprano and alto) and has a membership base of around 40 members under the watchful eye of Musical Director, Angela Stew...    less
