The wide-ranging repertoire enables flexible programming for venues – large and small concert halls, churches or synagogues – and appropriate occasions. The ensemble, which consists of singers of non-Jewish origin, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012. Artistic director since 2012: Ludwig Böhme. This work reflects some of the history of Manchester as seen through the eyes of local poet Audrey Vaughan, including its origins around the river Irwell, the original monastery which became Manchester Cathedral, the industrial revolution, the Peterloo Massacre, and the singing of church and cathedral choirs up to the present day. Music composed by David Warin Solomons Conductor: Zoltán Pad Tenor soloist: József Gál Treble soloist: Csongor Gyulai Organist: Zsolt Mészáros Pianist: Dániel Dinyés The boys' choir's conductor was Márton Tóth who taught the piece to the children. We bring the exuberant and uplifting sound of gospel music to these two central London churches each month. We wanted a song that spoke to hope and community so we decided on 'The Prayer' as a way of bringing hope and comfort to those that hear the song.

Video recreated in honour of the composer Per me si va ne la città dolente, per me si va ne l'etterno dolore, Through me is the way to the sorrowful city, Through me is the way to eternal sorrow, per me si va tra la perduta gente. Through me is the way among the lost people. Giustizia mosse il mio alto fattore: fecemi la divina potestate, la somma sapienza e 'l primo amore; Justice moved my exalted maker Divine power, supreme wisdom and the first love made me dinanzi a me non fuor cose create se non etterne, e io etterno duro.
