The choir promotes European and Croatian musical heritage giving concerts both home and outside Zagreb, but also enjoys performing classical music to the audience that does not tend to go to cultural events. Since 2007, the choir has been conducted by Ms. Elena Konovalova. Under her guidance, the choir won first place at Zagreb Singing Choirs Competition 2012, in Vocal Ensembles category. The group aims to expose the audience to the magic of this genre, which is almost completely forgotten. The Hazelnuts' concert combines original songs - preserving the musical spirit of the genre and poured into a contemporary feminine point of view, and in addition - stylistic adaptations of cotemporary songs and authentic pieces from the thirties. Fed up of boring lifeless choirs that sing traditional music, Bobby wanted to create a choir format that is fun, exciting, and most important - easily accesible to everyone. We started with a Swansea choir, and quickly expanded to opening a branch in Llanelli. New to 2015 is our branch in Cardiff and Bristol starting in September.
