They have been auditioned and selected from a program of 250 singers and identified as the cream of the crop based on their beauty of Vocal tone, Musical intelligence, sight reading ability and academic achievement. They are also instrumentalists, actors, athletes, student leaders and ambassadors of LSHS. Most importantly, they are students who are DEDICATED to being the best they can be. As a result of these high standards, Sounds of Summit has developed a reputation in Lee’s Summit and around the nation as one of the elite high School level performing ensembles. We are frequently asked to perform with UMKC’s Conservatory, as well as multiple appearances at the Missouri Music Educators Convention. Church and are between the ages of 10 and 45. It's membership currently stands at 60. The Choir performs during church services and other programs organised by the church.
