While in #choir-antine, LSYC singers wanted to give back to our community we love so much. LSYC performs Eric Barnum's "I Sing of the Northland," a piece commissioned by LSYC in 2016.

Taken off the album 'at Christmas wrapped with love' (2013) by Soul Sounds, Sri Lanka's award winning premier all women's choir. http://www.soulsounds.org/

It was born thanks to its director, Ludovico (Dodo) Versino, who instilled the love for choral music in high school students all across Rome, which led them all to become friends. It doesn’t have an exact date of birth, because it began as a way to get together, rather than as a formal choir. they don’t have a uniform, a fixed meeting place, or a specific repertoire genre. Only one thing is certain: they tell their story through their singing, so come listen the coro che non c’è  less

This vision has grown into Chai-Town A Cappella. Last year we performed at the a cappella competition Anahat, in Berkeley, CA, as a guest act at the dance competition Naach Nation, in New York, NY, and across the Midwest. As 2012 approaches, our group will be reaching its 10th anniversary and putting out our THIRD studio album! Chai-Town is a completely student-run, non-profit group of 16 members, each of whom has a passion for music. We love sharing this passion with our friends and family, our community, and the world.  less
