Что ты бредёшь по равнинной трясине? Или молитву несешь по России? Или, отчаявшись, хрипло кричишь? Вот окружил меня белой стеною. Был бы я рад подойти к аналою — свечку затеплить, молитву сложить. Пусто. Лишь слёзы на веках густели то ли от вздохов прощальной метели, то ли от счастья, что надобно жить. Русское поле, давно мог понять я: жизнь — испытание, но — не распятье. Вот и сегодня: и темень, и снег. Но почему, когда вьюга восстала храмом из поля — душа заблистала? Божий огрех? Или божий успех? This piece intimately describes the moments during music theory classes when the two would look at each other continuously, youthfully, and silently, as if unable to do anything else.
