Much of The music we sing is arranged in The barbershop style. Along with entertaining our local audience KCC competes in The Mid Atlantic District of The Barbershop Harmony Society and is a consistent champion in our Division. KCC also promotes quartet singing as well as a cappella singing among The youth in our region.
Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7pm and are always open for visitors so feel free to visit to find out more and to see if our group is right for you. less

We do a wide variety of music from Renaissance to contemporary and from a cappella to works with chamber orchestra. We are a fun loving, very friendly group. However, our music comes first and hard work is required of all. An audition is required. Our Music Director is William R. Thomas.

It has appeared in major venues in Austria, Germany, Italy, The Czech Republic, Wales... moreThe Drake Choir is Drake University’s select touring Ensemble, performing regionally on an annual basis and internationally every four years, most recently in May 2012. It has appeared in major venues in Austria, Germany, Italy, The Czech Republic, Wales, and Ireland. The Ensemble regularly collaborates with The Des Moines Symphony and sang The Beethoven Ninth Symphony with that orchestra in September 2011. The Drake Choir has performed in Carnegie Hall and has been featured on The conference program of The American Choral Directors Association North Central Division.
The Ensemble consists of 64-70 singers who are first-year students through seniors and who represent every College of The University. Auditions for returning students take place in April and for new students during The weekend preceding The start of The fall semester. The Ensemble rehearses Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 3:30-5:00 p.m. and is conducted by Dr. Aimee Beckmann-Collier, Director of Choral Studies and Professor of Condcuting. less

From historically informed performance of early music to meticulously prepared classical works to The most exciting current sacred compositions, Te Deum presents beautiful music in stunning settings.
Te Deum was founded by MatThew Christopher Shepard in 2008 to fulfill an expressed need by both singers and audiences in The Kansas City area to present sacred choral music concerts of The highest quality. The Te Deum Chamber Choir performed its first concert in spring 2009. Since Then, The chamber choir has built an impressive and varied repertoire that spans centuries of time and wide ranges of composition style.
In fall 2013, Te Deum began its Antiqua series, offering historically informed performances of repertoire from The 12th-17th centuries with a smaller roster.
