Of a Rose, a lovely Rose,
Of a Rose is all my song.
Hearken to me, both old and young,
How this Rose began to spring;
A fairer rose to mine liking
In all this world ne know I none.
Five branches of that rose there been,
The which be both fair and sheen;
The rose is called Mary, heaven's queen.
Out of her bosom a blossom sprang.
The first branch was of great honour:
That blest Marie should bear the flow'r;
There came an angel from heaven's tower
To break the devil's bond.
The second branch was great of might,
That sprang upon Christmas night;
The star shone over Bethlem bright,
That man should see it both day and night.
The third branch did spring and spread;
Three kinges then the branch gan led
Unto Our Lady in her child-bed;

This version is from the Noteworthy Christmas CD, and is performed by the Chor Leoni Mens Choir. The illustration is Peter Paul Rubens' "Adoration of the Magi". The Latin lyrics and English translation follow:
Gaudete, gaudete! Christus est natus
Ex Maria virgine, gaudete!
Rejoice, rejoice! Christ is born
Of the Virgin Mary — rejoice!
Tempus adest gratiæ
Hoc quod optabamus,
Carmina lætitiæ
Devote reddamus.
The time of grace has come—
This that we have desired,
Verses of joy
Let us devoutly return.
Deus homo factus est
Natura mirante,
Mundus renovatus est
A Christo regnante.
God has become man,
To the wonderment of Nature,
The world has been renewed
By the reigning Christ.
Ezechielis porta
Clausa pertransitur,
Unde lux est orta
Salus invenitur.
The closed gate of Ezechiel
Is passed through,
Whence the light is born,
Salvation is found.

LYRICS;
Hallelujah, you are truly king of kings
Your kingdom is everlasting
All creation speaks of your splendor and majesty
By grace we have become your children
So we will worship you and bless you forever
You reign forever, Hallelujah.
2nd Verse (Speaking to your soul)
My soul, bless the Lord
And everything within me bless His Holy name
For He has done great things for you
He forgives all your iniquities and heals you of your sicknesses
And He delivered you from the hands of your enemy
He has made you like an eagle
And He has renewed your strength
So, my soul bless the Lord and everything within me bless His Holly name
Because He has done great things for you less

Reincarnations: Cor Flammae's debut concert with Queer Arts Festival | July 24th, 2014
Introduction:
There once lived a Man in a Castle, and a strange man was he.
He shunned the Countess’ parties; he yawned at town meetings;
he would not let the doctor take his pulse; he did not go to church on Sundays.
Oh what a strange man is the Man in the Castle!
First Madrigal:
Ev’ry Sunday afternoon, soft winds fanning the fading sun,
all the respectable folk went out walking slowly on the pink promenade by the sea.
Proud husbands velvety-plump, with embroider’d silk-pale ladies.
At four o’clock they all greeted each other; They spoke ill of each other at six:
“How d’you do?” “Very well, thank you.”
“Have you heard?” “Pray, do tell me.”
“Tcha tcha tcha tcha tcha ra tcha ra tcha...”
“How funny, how amusing, how odd! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!”
“How well you look!” “How pretty your dress!”
“Thank you.” “Thank you.” “Good-bye.” “Good-bye.”
“Isn’t she a gossip!” “Isn... less
