Nashville Singers was founded in November of 2008 by a handful of men who had the desire to join their voices with the voices of others committed to excellence in vocal and choral performance. In their first four years, this volunteer group has grown from four to 15 Singers, learned 42 songs, released their first CD, racked up 51 performances for 32 organizations in seven counties across Tennessee, and produced a successful concert series which has attracted a combined 1000+ attendees from 38 cities in eight states across the USA. Their concert audiences have ranged in size from a few hundred to 4000 people. Many of the members are active and former students of the University of Music, Drama and Medi...  moreThe Junges Vokalensemble Hannover was founded in 1981 by its artistic director Prof. Klaus-Jürgen Etzold. The choir consists of about 60 female and male Singers. Many of the members are active and former students of the University of Music, Drama and Media Hannover, but other professions are represented as well, and all Singers are united in their wide choral experience and their joy in singing challenging works together. The performance of a wide range of a cappella works, some of them quite unknown, forms an important emphasis of the choir. In addition to sacred and secular a cappella music of the 15th century until today, the choir performs cantatas, masses, oratorios, and passions. Many compositions were broadcast for radio stations or published on CD. The choir has recorded ten CDs and performed several world premieres of contemporary compositions, e.g. by Büsing, Dinescu, Fuchs and Wangenheim. Founded in the 1670s, the Choir i...  moreThe Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge is one of the finest collegiate choirs in the world, known and loved by millions from its broadcasts, concert tours and recordings. This is the Choir’s 99th album to be released. Founded in the 1670s, the Choir is known for its distinctive rich, warm sound, its expressive interpretations and its breadth of repertoire. Alongside these musical characteristics, the Choir is particularly proud of its happy, relaxed and mutually supportive atmosphere. The Choir is directed by Andrew Nethsingha following a long line of eminent Directors of Music, recently Dr George Guest, Dr Christopher Robinson and Dr David Hill.
