World Champions (Scenic Folklore - WCG2012). The premier performance ensemble of Kearsney College, a leading independent high school for boys in South Africa. Winners of 10 Gold Medals (incl 3 World Champion Titles) at the World Choir Games 2000-2012. Boys join the choir as an extra-curricular activity, amid academic, sporting and other cultural activities. Approx. 40 performances per year, including National/interNational tours.  less

Using the simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. The choir delights in introducing new songs that are connected by their unique choral sound, rather than from a particular genre and it is this wide appeal and their sense of fun that has meant the group is in constant demand and continually attracts new members. Even in its early days the choir never quite conformed to the accepted norms of what should be included in their repertoire. However, this in no way hindered its appeal and it went on to win a number and prestigious competitions including one of the largest Eisteddfods for Male choirs in Wales, an award for services to the arts from Chelmsford City Council and passed the advanced choral singing examination of The Associated Board of the Royal College of Music Successive musical directors contributed the choir`s ...    less

We have performed to standing ovations all over the world, including Russia, Romania, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and the eight largest cities in Japan. The main character – Fauvel – is an incarnation of sin, irrationality, unreliability, dominance, flattery. Fortuna Won’t Be Fauvel’s Match! mocks human egotism, hedonism, hypocrisy and excesses of the governing classes, of secular as well as church rule, a society contaminated by sin and corruption. The ruling class is despotic and greedy, forgetting about the natural equality of people.
