The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930...  moreWe are a group of women singing a cappella four-part harmony music arranged in barbershop style. The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to musical theatre in that most songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work. We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in Central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. Singers are therefore welcome to apply at any point, since the group will be fixed from a Central pool for each concert. Repertoire is wide-ranging, from Renaissance polyphony to commissions from established and emerging British composers. The group is directed by Hilary Campbell and welcomes interest from experienced and enthusiastic choral singers of all ages.
