Mother of God, here I stand now praying before this ikon of your radiant brightness, not praying to be saved from a battlefield; not giving thanks nor seeking forgiveness for the sings of my soul, nor for all the souls. Numb, joyless and desolate on earth; but for her alone, whom I wholly give you. less

We perform four concerts each year across three terms running from September to July. Our programme varies from stunning major choral works to satisfying chamber music programmes and the occasional light programme of popular numbers!
Singers are drawn not only from Fleet and the surrounding area, but also outlying towns including Guildford and Basingstoke. choir membership is currently around 50 voices, many of whom have sung with the choir for several years. The combined experience and enthusiasm enables us to explore new musical horizons - both in repertoire and venue.
We aim to broaden our experience, strive for quality and musicality in our performances and involve young singers wherever possible. Soloists are drawn from the choir, although for more complex works we often invite professional singers to participate.
Fancy joining? Although we don’t have a formal auditio... less

Its members are citizens of the two communities, Turkish-Cypriots and Greek-Cypriots, who share the same vision of a re-unified and peaceful common country and also believe in the unity of the two communities through Music.
Our repertoire consists mainly of selected songs from the tradition of Cyprus in both Greek-Cypriot and Turkish – Cypriot dialects as well as newer songs in Greek, Turkish and any other language as long as they send messages of peace, love, solidarity and reconciliation, messages that conform with our aims and visions.
The choir works under the instructions of two conductors, a Turkish-Cypriot and a Greek-Cypriot and it also co-operates and performs with cultural groups of the smaller communities of Maronites and Armenians.
The Bi-communal choir started rehearsing at the LEDRA PALACE Hotel, and its first official performance took p... less
