We have links with Choirs in Italy and Germany and we meet with these Choirs every couple of years for a Musical event that we call Harmony in Europe

This is a true community Choir of more than thirty experienced singers representing the professions of Music, teaching, engineering, law, civil service, marketing, information technology and journalism. Nearly one-half of the Choir's singers are students from across many disciplines of study. Newman Sound has realized an ever-growing loyal audience, a high local, national and international reputation and a very bright future having established an exciting and eclectic repertoire across the genres of classical, pop and folk including some outstanding arrangements and original compositions by several of the singers within the Choir.  less

With the addition of Richard Larson as artistic director and a handful of additional singers, the group quickly found a footing in the cultural fabric of Denver, Colorado. Now entering its 15th full season of performing, the group has expanded into an auditioned ensemble of 54 volunteer singers who meet weekly to rehearse. Many of the singers come from schools with strong choral Music programs, such as Augustana, Brigham Young, Concordia, Luther, St. Olaf, Wartburg, and the University of Northern Colorado. Kantorei established itself as one of the nation’s premier choral ensembles after performing as an auditioned Choir for the 2003 National American Choral Directors Association Conference at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
