Its repertoire includes Choral music from the Middle Ages to the 21st century, works by contemporary Greek composers, traditional songs, spirituals, etc. It has given numerous concerts in Greece, Germany, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Norway, Switzerland, Hungary, Cyprus, Turkey, and Serbia. Since 2023, the Choir has been organizing annually the “Arta Sacred Music Festival” which takes places in Byzantine churches of Arta. Since November 2021, the Choir has been conducted by Antonis Ververis.  less

It was founded in 1998 in response to the success of the Choral Meeting of Alexandria Municipality and mainly because of the Alexandrians who love the Choral music and the encouragement of the Board Members of the Choir at the time. Like Melissanthi, Alexandrian Voices is, in the wider area of Alexandria, the music institution that target to the development of Choral music, of course through the good company and the love for music itself. From the beginning it counts approximately 50 choristers, all amateurs (meaning that none has studied music) who love and sing almost all kinds of music. Since their beginning, Alexandrian Voices had the opportunity to participate and be distinguished in numerous events, competitions or not, musical or of special interest. It is based in Tsuru City, located at the foot of Mt.Fuji. Under the our conductor, Prof. Masahiko Shimizu, we always practice in this place, blessed in nature, with many friends who get together at Tsuru University. Including the annual concert held on "World Chorus Day" on the second Sunday of December every year, we perform at elementary and junior high schools, social welfare facilities, etc., and sing at chorus Festivals, giving the "TSURUBUN SOUND" in a variety of venues. We have also awarded at the All Japan Chorus Competition in many times and often won top prizes in the largest chorus competition in Japan.  less
