Seitdem haben sich Mirko Ludwig (Tenor), Florian Sievers (Tenor), Christoph Behm (Bariton) und Tim Schwarzenberger (Bass) ein breites A-cappella-Repertoire erarbeitet und dieses bei verschiedenen Konzerten und Auftritten im norddeutschen Raum präsentiert. Durch die Jahre im Knabenchor musikalisch geprägt, führte der Weg alle vier Ensemblemitglieder zum Lübecker Kammerchor „I Vocalisti" unter der Leitung von Hans-Joachim Lustig, mit dem sie zahlreiche Preise gewannen, u. a. beim Deutschen Chorwettbewerb und bei internationalen Kammerchorwettbewerben wie Marktoberdorf, Tolosa (Spanien) und Cork, Irland. Die jahrelange gemeinsame Singerfahrung in unzähligen Konzerten, auf nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben und Festivals legte schließlich den Grundstein für das vierköpfige Vokalensemble. It specializes in choral and early music—notably Renaissance, Baroque, and rarely heard repertoire—and is dedicated to delivering emotionally resonant, historically informed performances. Winner of the Chorus America/ASCAP Alice Parker Award, Crescendo invites choral singers to audition for its 22nd season.This season, our repertoire spans 16th-century motets, works by Johann Sebastian Bach, and contemporary music in the Piazzolla style, featuring the U.S. premiere of Martín Palmeri’s A Jewish Cantata (2022).
