This is the abridged version of "The 21st Century (A Girl Born in Afghanistan)," a setting for mixed choir of excerpts from Kofi Annan's Nobel Peace Prize lecture. Performed by the Southwest Minnesota State University Chorale under Stephen Kingsbury.

Kyrie eleison represents Java island, especially West Java, with the voice imitation of gamelan (traditional Indonesian set of instruments) and some other folk elements including the pentatonic scale.

The work, called Poohratorio of course, is due to be published once AA Milne goes into public domain (2031).  less
