Its repertoire includes choral music from the Middle Ages to the 21st century, works by contemporary Greek composers, traditional songs, spirituals, etc. It has given numerous concerts in Greece, Germany, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Norway, Switzerland, Hungary, Cyprus, Turkey, and Serbia. Since 2023, the choir has been organizing annually the “Arta Sacred Music Festival” which takes places in Byzantine churches of Arta. Since November 2021, the choir has been conducted by Antonis Ververis.  less

They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canad...  moreThe Southend Boys' choir was formed in 1972 and the Girls' choir in 1988. The choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Seychelles and across Europe. We welcome visiting choirs and enjoy joining with other youth choirs in concerts. We have a training choir for younger singers, and a choir for boys whose voices have changed.
