Reading A440 Choir presents choral music with the added dimension of multi-media storytelling and the incorporation of non-choral arts supplementing our music in our performances. We also like to enter competitions.

Located in the in the heart of Stockholm, these two churches are a renowned center for church music in Sweden. The Choir´s repertoire consists of a cappella works from a wide range of national styles and periods, as well as larger works for Choir and orchestra. The Choir has won several of Europe´s most important competitions including the European Grand Prize for choral music. The Choir has also participated in a wide array of national and international festivals such as the Conference for Swedish Choral Conductors, the Scandinavian Symposium for Sacred Music, the Tolosa Festival in Spain, the IFCM World Symposium in Minneapolis, Sagra Musicale Umbra in Italy, Musica Sacra in Germany, Polyfollia in France, Debrecen Festival in Hungary, and De Internationale Koorbiënnale Haarlem in Holland. Are you a legal professional who's looking for a fresh way to connect with your musical interests and like-minded legal eagles while giving back meaningfully to our Community? The 80+ voice New York City Bar Chorus ("CBC") will conduct a limited number of auditions (brief, private and low-pressure), with primary focus on baritones, basses and high sopranos, for our fall 2017 cycle. We rehearse about three Tuesday evenings per month, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, in midtown Manhattan to produce what listeners describe as a professional-quality sound, spanning musical theater, jazz, pop/rock, gospel and classical styles. We sing music from the early 1900's through to more modern songs such as Billy Joel, The Rat Pack etc. The chorus focuses on improving singing techniques and making chords "ring" while at the same time simply having fun. We love it when a 4 part chord is correctly tuned and the chord just locks together and harmonics (or overtones) ring out loud and strong. We compete every year in local contest as a mean of measuring our progress against similar groups but we just love to perform for the public and so our contest activities are very well balanced with public performance. We also have a great time together as one of our goals is to provide a place where men can gather and enjoy their interest in singing.
