Music for Soprano, Boys Choir, Mixed Choir and Chamber Orchestra. Primarily, the score (main part)was written for Choir a cappella with optional harp and solo (flute, oboe, violin) instrument.

Winner of the first prize in Warsaw International Choir Festival 2007. Our repertoire contains International music, but especially Arabic songs from different heritages (Lebanese, Palestinian, Egyptian, Iraqi, Syrian, Mouashah...). And for the first time, we have Arabic songs arranged with quarter tones. Our aim is to show the real civilized image of the Arab world and to spread our rich Music.

The vocal ensemble has set the ambitious task to reach a homogenous and beautiful sound, expressiveness and the right stylistic interpretation. “Prima” Choir has delivered artistic tours in Sweden (1997), Poland (1997), Greece (2002), Portugal (2004), France (2006), Albania (2010), Greece(2013)… The formation has taken part in the Balkan Mountains fest in Veliko Tarnovo in 2001. The Choir worked with Grammy© award winning composer Eric Whitacre, Nigel Short, former member of the famous British a capella band King’s Singers, Jo-Micheal Scheibe, the president of American Choral Directors Association and Volker Hempfling, among the most important living conductors of Germany. Rezonans performed with significant Choirs of the world within 6 seasons by hosting them in Istanbul: Yale Schola Cantorum (conducted by Simon Carrington), Salt Lake Vocal Artists (conducted by Brady Allred) and Junges Vokalensemble Hannover (conducted by Klaus-Jürgen Etzold). It was first created by a few friends in 1991, then enlarged over the years. It has been conducted by Stephan Nicolay since 2004. The Choir aims to share quality music and new experiences with the audience. That is why La Sestina often performs with crossover arts on a main theme e.g. French Renaissance chansons in 16th century clothes with an actress, a cappella sacred contemporary music with dancers and video projection, Baroque French music with Chamber orchestra and a lecturer, medieval Spanish music with mediterranean ensemble of lutes and percussions, etc. Also, the Choir aims at supporting humanitarian and social actions by offering one or several concerts each year. Many international NGO have benefited from these charity concerts such as Unicef, Unesco, Amnesty International, Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières and so on, but also very local associations.
