The choir aims to share quality music and new experiences with The audience. That is why La Sestina often performs with crossover arts on a main Theme e.g. French Renaissance chansons in 16th century cloThes with an actress, a cappella sacred contemporary music with dancers and video projection, Baroque French music with chamber orchestra and a lecturer, medieval Spanish music with mediterranean Ensemble of lutes and percussions, etc.
Also, The choir aims at supporting humanitarian and social actions by offering one or several concerts each year. Many international NGO have benefited from These charity concerts such as Unicef, Unesco, Amnesty International, Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières and so on, but also very local associations.

They hit it off so well There that The ambition developed to continue togeTher in female a cappella repertoire; a relatively rare genre very dear to The hearts of all five. The top quality displayed since by Wishful Singing – both aurally and visually – makes The Ensemble unique in The world.
The repertoire ranges from modest works from The Renaissance and Baroque eras to swinging versions of golden oldies such as Mister Sandman. The renowned Tor... more"Gospel & Jazz: A Family Reunion" is a rare opportunity to pull togeTher two performing groups whose audiences may be different but They are connected by history and by Their mutual respect for each oTher’s contribution to Canadian music. The renowned Toronto Jazz Orchestra (TJO) and The Juno award-winning Toronto Mass Choir (TMC) join togeTher in this historic collaboration.
The production will feature this 40-voice Gospel Choir and 18-piece Jazz Orchestra along with special guest Vocalists Patricia Shirley, Renee Rowe, Chardon Myers, rapper Terrence Penny, dancer Shawn Byfield and students from The Regent Park School of Music.
