Ljubljanski madrigalisti mixed chamber Choir is a renowned and successful Slovenian Vocal Ensemble, founded in 1991. In 2003, Matjaž Šček, the conductor of the group, was replaced by Andreja Martinjak, who performed regularly with the Choir and took part in national and international Choir competitions where the Choir as well as the conductor were winning numerous prizes and awards. The greatest achievements of the Choir include a gold plaque, awarded in the 20th Slovenian national Choir competition, Naša pesem (Our song) 2007 and the second place in the 9th international Choir competition in Maribor 2008, where the Choir also won a special prize for the best Slovenian Choir of the competition. In 2008 we celebrated the 80th anniversary of the birth of Slovenian composer Pavle Merkú with a special cycle of concerts. We also performed the fairy folk-tale by Robert Schumman, Der Rose Pilgerfahrt (The Pilgrimage of the Rose) – an oratorio.

Born by a group of singers, together with his conductor, Gianluigi Giacomoni, wanted to perform new kind of music in the city's musical scene with a wide repertoire ranging from the elaboration of popular melodies to hits of pop music and soundtracks. The Choir Vox Canora sung with the Orchestra of the "Fondazione Arturo Toscanini", with M° Ennio Morricone for his concert in Parma, with M° Helmut Imig for the soundtrack of the film "Fratello Sole" by Luigi Mancinelli.
From 2008 choral Ensemble Vox canora is directed by M° Monica Lodesani whose first engagement has been the preparation of the Gloria di Vivaldi, in collaboration with other choruses of the city.
