At the beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subsequently performed in public. However since 1973, it participated in various national choir competitions and repeatedly won the first prizes. This led PSM-ITB to become one of the most established choirs in Indonesia. In several occasions, the choir has been given the chance to perform in events attended by the President of Indonesia. It regularly performs in concerts, occasionally collaborated with other choirs and orchestras.
In 1968 PSM-ITB organized the 1st ITB Choir Festival (FPS-ITB). Since then the festival is held biannually and becomes the largest national choir event in term of categories (from children to adult and folklore catagories) and participants. Academic Choir of Gdańsk University of Technology, the oldest artistic student organization at the Gdańsk University of Technology, despite current situation, has not ceased its activity. We organise ourselves, work and create. This is the first "product" of our virtual work.
We did it for yourselves to give you a little respite, joy, smile, hope and faith in a better future. Thanks to the fact that we have a share in culture - as creators and recipients - it is easier to live, it is easier to face everyday challenges.
