Ensemble Laude is a community of women united by a passion for choral music and The vision of our Artistic Director, Elizabeth MacIsaac. We celebrate The beauty and resilience of women’s vocal traditions through The ages and seek to share this art form through joyful, soulful, and life-enhancing performances that gladden The heart, lift The spirit, and expand The mind. Ensemble Laude began in 1998 with a group of 12 singers focused solely on medieval music. It has since expanded into a vibrant community choir of over 50 vocalists. The Singers are directed by Dr Simon Lindley, Music Director since The choir's foundation in 1977. The plainchant verses are sung by soprano Sarah Kelly, and The solo quartet (positioned remotely from The main choir) comprises soprano Julie Kilburn, alto Lucy Appleyard, tenor Jonathan Morrish and bass Quentin Brown. Die aktuell mehr als 50 chorerfahrenen Amateursängerinnen und -sänger vom „SonntagsChor Rheinland-Pfalz“ wurden seinerzeit aus über 600 Bewerbern, in mehreren Durchläufen, nach festgelegten Kriterien ausgewählt. We uphold The tradition and art of male choral singing through The camaraderie of choral membership and in entertaining our audiences. We give our own concerts several times a year in Norwich and beyond, as well as appear at events by invitation. This festive round dance from The northwestern mountains of Georgia features a text consisting entirely of nonsense words such as "worera", "voisa-rera", "dila-wadila", etc. Leslie is performing dance steps learned from a group of young dancers we met in Dmanisi, Georgia.  less
