As its name implies (the phrase "Rosh Tov" in Hebrew connotes fun and a good atmosphere), this group has a light, vivacious character alongside its serious professional aspirations. Its repertoire includes lots of rhythm: international and Israeli pop songs, Beatles, Gershwin, musicals - all arranged by Jeanne in five part harmony. Among its most successful performances to date: "Sealed With A Kiss" (2007, 2008), special tribute evenings to lyricists Yoram Teharlev and Shimrit Or (produced by the Rosh-HaAyin Municipality), second place in the choir competition "Kol Rishon" (Rishon LeZion, Succoth, 2008), and semi-final status in the "Zemer Lach Artzi" competition, 2010. Founded in 2003 our musical Journey takes us from Jazz to soul, pop to singer/songwriter. We are not professional singers but each of us has a very musical background and we use every opportunity to further our musical horizon, especially in terms of timbre and dynamics. Strong influences are the scandinavian contemporary choir scene led by Vocal Line, Bobby McFerrin, Take 6 and many more. Enjoy!

We sang in PORTUGAL, Burgos Cathedral, the Church of the Magdalene Torrelaguna, the Monastery of St.. Domingo de Silos, Mecerreyes Church and Collegiate Covarrubias (Burgos), the Iglesia de la Santa Cruz of Carballiño (Orense), the Iglesia de Sta. María of Requena (Valencia), Ntra. Sra. del Buen Suceso or Las Calatravas in Madrid and at Mass on Sundays TVE issues, from the parish of Los Arroyos (El Escorial). We organize the Choral Events of Colmenarejo. Six male solists present the deep yet humorous side of vocal music. Their clarity in sound and expression, the abillity to let music speak for itself, sets them apart. Their individual artistic skills and personalities harmonize into a one of a kind ensemble! Pro Vocants musical interpretation has been well received all over, earning them a third placing at the German A cappella Contest 2012! Pro Vocant cooperates regularly with other artists and groups , ranging from projects with the worldmusician Willy Schwarz, the female ensemble Jinger and Tonic from Melbourne to joint concerts with other vocal groups like VIP und arcanum musicae from Dresden.  less

This brand new version of Good King Wenceslas is dedicated to my uncle Duncan Shaw of Vancouver. Some background...  moreThis brand new version of Good King Wenceslas is dedicated to my uncle Duncan Shaw of Vancouver. His "retirement project" - developing his own theory of gravity - has been a huge inspiration in my own compositional Journey late in life. Some background: I have sung the traditional version of Good King Wenceslas since I was a kid. I fell in love with the lyrics and the story, but have always been puzzled by the way it was arranged, in particular the way that the "las" of Wenceslas lands on the downbeat. When I was young, I thought the lyrics were actually "Good King Wences last looked out!" All to say that I got inspired to create a totally different version. I used the 19th century poem by John Mason Neale, but I wanted to create a different "feel" to the story, to take it back in time to its origins in the Middle Ages - hence the medieval feel to much of the piece. I also felt that since the Wenceslas story is all about a Journey, a setting in 3/4 time would create a better sense of that feeling, ra...    less
