Marryatville High School's Special Interest Music caters for selected gifted students and students with Musical potential. Choral music is an essential part of the Musical development of these students. The Concert Choir is an auditioned choir of about 40.

There has been a long tradition of Musical excellence at St Laurence’s. The original church, built in the 1880s, had a strong choir of men and boys who took part in the Festival of Britain services in 1951. When the new church was opened in 1968, the Musical tradition continued. A new Walker organ was installed in the church, using some pipework from the old organ and Directors of Music have included David Sanger, Professor Roger Wibberley, Paul Dewhurst, Tom Fowkes, Marcus Wibberley, Iain Simcock and Andrew Ibbotson. The current Director of Music is Huw Morgan. Girls were first admitted to the choir some ten years ago, but the choir remains unique in this part of south-east London in that it continues to use only trebles (girls and boys) on the top line. The Rodiilians perform a diverse range of Musical styles that are innovative and challenging, having the capacity to move the audience.Their vision and love of music has seen them move from strength to strength and they have been extremely successful in recent years and the future holds much excitement for the choir.

All members are professional singers and musicians, all of them graduated the Higher Musical Academy in Lviv and their diverse Musical backgrounds contribute to the Musical expression of the ensemble.The group is flexible in number to expend into different styles of singing. All music are performed a cappella. The main areas of speciality are Orthodox church music (liturgical), folk and popular Ukrainian songs and some examples of original Ukrainian, world music as well as well-known a cappella classics. ORPHEUS also perform new songs - composed and arranged by the group members themselves, all of them featuring surprising and exciting arrangements.  less

Open to anyone (age 8+ to adult) with a love of Musical theatre, the group works on excelling in Musical theatre singing, good vocal techniques and harmony work. Movement and/or acting plays a part, with plenty of opportunities for solo and small group singing if desired.

The Chorus sings a wide repertoire of music drawn from classical, pop, Musical theatre and folk as well as the more traditional welsh hymns that are often expected! ​Since it was established, the choir has raised many thousands of pounds for charitable causes over the years.​ We rehearse at the Craven Arms Community Centre every Monday evening at 7:30pm, with the exception of bank holidays, January, and August.  less
