Matthew Berry, the founder and conductor of the choir, enthusiastically promotes the work of a younger generation of composers, as well as bringing to the fore little-known works of more established writers. In short, Commotio offers singers and audiences alike something a little different.  less

The choral programme starts with a general education for ages 5-7, before they are ready for Junior Choir (7-10), Intermediate Choir (10-13), Stage Choir or Youth Choir (13-18). Youth Choir contains over 80 singers, and the total number of singers meeting each week at the academy is over 180. The junior choirs are directed by Mrs Kate Venvell, Stage Choir is directed by Richard Halton and Julie Gossage, and Youth Choir is directed by Tim Venvell.  less

Orfej...  moreKomorni zbor Orfej / chamber choir Orfej was formed in 1989. The choir's permanent artistic director is Romana Rek. In the past years, chamber choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed choirs’.  

We are one of Surrey's key chamber choirs. Based in Woking we perform a wide range of music in the local area. Concerts include charitable events, official celebrations and our own seasonal performances.

Amabile has achieved acclaim on national and world stages for its excellence in choral performance, with 14 CBC National Choral Competition awards and 7 international competition awards.
