El Coro Polifónico de la Universidad de La Laguna intervino el pasado jueves, 1 de abril, en el concierto de clausura, en el puesto 16 de un total de 23 coros con la obra Selig sind Die Toten, del organista y compositor alemán Heinrich Schütz (1585-1672). La actuación se desarrolló desde la base de las vidrieras de San Fernando situadas en las escalinatas principales del Edificio Central de la institución académica.  less

We aim to give two or three concerts each year, plus a Christmas concert of music and readings. We are based in the village of Rolleston-on-Dove near Burton-upon-Trent, and draw our members – numbering around 50 at present - from a wide area of East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire. The choir is conducted by the Director of Chapel Music, assisted by two organ scholars. The choir makes occasional visits to other British churches and cathedrals, as well as an annual foreign tour, recent destinations have included USA, Mexico, Sweden, Thailand, Rome and Prague. Emmanuel College Choir has released a number of recordings, most recently a CD of works by the Edwardian composer E W Naylor, a former Organist and Honorary Fellow of the College.
