Voices Carry is an Americana Jazz-influenced vocal group based in metro Phoenix, Arizona. Most of our songs are performed a cappella, and we favor vocal Jazz, but we occassionally perform with instrumental accompaniment and perform other styles.

Known for its’ varying repertoire, ranging from adaptations of classical music, Jazz standards, folk and rock arrangements to dancehall and hip hop songs, the ensemble is lead by Choir director and music teacher Mrs. Susanne Faatz. “JazzVocals” was founded twenty years ago and is one of Berlin’s veteran Jazz/pop acappella ensembles.

We have on going partnerships with Choirs in Rheims and Ris Orangis. Our focus is on sharing the joy of singing and friendship.  

In Fall 2018, New York's Choral Chameleon Chorus collaborated with Jazz pianist and composer Eri Yamamoto, to bring to life 'Goshu Ondo Suite', her new, hour-length piece for Choir and Jazz trio. Listen to Eri Yamamoto and Choral Chameleon's Artistic Director Vince Peterson discussing the project, with footage from the November 2018 premiere at the Paul Taylor Dance Company Studios. The event culminated in a dance party encore with audience and Choir dancing together! After a simple lesson in the Obon dance from Shiga prefecture in Japan, the audience danced to a reprise of the final movement by the Choir and trio. The live performance recording of Goshu Ondo Suite will be released by Aum Fidelity label. Pre-Order from October 1st 2019, release date November 15th 2019.  less

At the moment we consist of around 100 members in the average age of about 23/24. We are young people who are in the mood for singing modern self-made Jazz- and pop-arrangements.
