We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and the quality of our singing. We are let by Will Welsford who gives his considerable experience to help us find our best Voices. We sing everything from madrigals to musicals, folk to funk and have a great time doing it! Always open to new members, particularly sopranos at the moment!

Pushing the idea that creativity is the strategic tool of the 21st century, she says how our Voices have been silenced and that it's not doing us any good. She explains how singing is a survival mechanism, how it makes our hearts beat together and can help heal strokes and depression. With singing, and the potential she believes it has, Tania dedicates herself to enhancing and promoting ingenuity and founded Creativity Australia and Creative Universe to do so. As a leading Australian soprano and through 'With One Voice', Tania works with disadvantaged communities. In 2008 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for services to the arts and for the establishment and development of arts enrichment programs for schools and communities. Ancient Christmas carol from Piae Cantiones This is my arrangement for our community choir (Soprano, Alto and Bass), but transposed down a third here for me to sing. (The arrangement also has an optional piano part which I did not use for this recording)

Girls from 14-24 with exceptional Voices from the Southern Gauteng region are welcome to audition and join the choir.

The Shrewsbury Chorale is a mixed choir of approximately 50 auditioned Voices, which presents three formal concerts per season. Most repertoire is classical in nature.
