Formed in November 2005, the choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of the choir also run a training choir to train other choirs to perform Gospel music. The small training choir is able to travel anywhere. To da...  moreFormed in November 2005, the choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of the choir also run a training choir to train other choirs to perform Gospel music. The small training choir is able to travel anywhere. To date they have travelled to Cornwall, Devon, Derbyshire, Wales, France and Germany. The whole choir is mixed, with approximately 50 singers and performs around 30 times a year. On its first attempt at ...  moreFormally organized in August 2006, the Ars Cantica Ensemble is a choral group composed of young professionals from different university choirs who want to spread the Word of God through musical talent and commitment to service. On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, the group won Second Runner-Up in the prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of the top five winners in the Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition. In December 2007, the Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at the Opening Ceremonies of the Amazing European Union Christmas held at The Podium, Ortigas and was one of the choirs invited to grace the Sing For Me Project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of the winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records. As a part of the historic community of Worcester Cathedral, the choir has gained a reputation for musical sensitivity and ground breaking performance. The choir was founded in 1998 by its musical director, Stephen Shellard, in order to draw together a group of high quality singers from the local area to develop a concert repertoire and further enrich the choral tradition of Worcester Cathedral. The establishment of the choir made history as, for the first time since its foundation nearly 1000 years ago, Worcester Cathedral included women's voices as a part of its musical life.  less

The Embro area is well known for having very talented people and we have added to the Embro talent with people from Woodstock, Ingersoll, Thamesford, Cambridge, London. Our goal is to make a great choral sound by learning and working together. We sing both the classics and the fun songs but our chief goals are that we have FUN while being of service to our communities!!!  less
