As the premiere chorale ensemble at OSU, the OSU Chamber Choir, under the direction of Dr. Steven Zielke, has garnered national attention and international awards. While touring Eastern Europe in 2001, the Choir received the Grand Prize at the Festival of Light in Bulgaria, and in April 2006, the Chamber Choir was selected as the only collegiate mixed Choir from outside of the state of Utah to perform at the 60th Music Educators National Biennial Conference in Salt Lake City. The Choir has performed in many exciting venues, including a performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in Smetana Hall in Prague and at Strathov Monastery in Prague Castle, the first Choir allowed to perform in the monastery in decades. The Choir has pieces from different ages,...  moreCorISTAnbul is a mixed a cappella Choir formed by the music director and conductor Arda Ardases Agosyan to perform a cappella pieces in the music literature. However, it also sings with instrumental accompaniment. The Choir has pieces from different ages, languages and styles in its repertoire. It gives both Turkey and world premieres of songs. It premiered the concerto Romeo and Juliet, composed by the conductor Agosyan last year. This auditioned SATB Choir has a long history of performing high quality choral music at various events including school concerts, Community events, and National conferences and festivals. Last year after winning the St John’s group choral Rosebowl, this Choir won both the Provincial Music Festival and the National Music Festival of Canada. The Choir has been featured on local television and radio programs and even performed live in concert International Children performing icons- The Wiggles. On its first attempt at ...  moreFormally organized in August 2006, the Ars Cantica Ensemble is a choral group composed of young professionals from different university Choirs who want to spread the Word of God through musical talent and commitment to service. On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, the group won Second Runner-Up in the prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of the top five winners in the Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition. In December 2007, the Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at the Opening Ceremonies of the Amazing European Union Christmas held at The Podium, Ortigas and was one of the Choirs invited to grace the Sing For Me Project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of the winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records.
